Don’t panic you, precious bun maker, you! I know it's scary, but it doesn’t have to be! There are multiple Birthing Classes around our area that provide you with the essential information that will calm your anxiety.
Birthing classes are taught by nurses, midwives, lactation consultants, and other childbirth educators. From them you will learn, a kind of important part, Identifying when you’re in labor! It's not always like them movies, your water won't break like Niagara Falls in the middle of a dramatic revelation! But if your baby just so decides to come, in such a main character way, this class can teach you what to do after your water breaks.
Birthing classes will also go over the different methods of delivery, how to make them more comfortable for you, breastfeeding basics, and most important pain management options that include breathing techniques.
Even if you have the perfect birthing plan, things don’t always go according to plan. Babies decide when and how they come. (Parenting tip #1: They are the captain now!) If your birthing plan fails, it's important to know and understand your options. Your OBGYN might have some birthing classes near your area, talk to your doctor.
